Our history
Nearly 70 Years on One Property
- 1956
Vincent Kennels opens
Longview is founded on the same property it occupies today, originally as Vincent Kennels. Following the Vincents’ tradition, those who oversee Longview have always lived on the property.
- Growth
Room for every pet
Over the years Longview expands to two large dog kennel buildings, an all-purpose dog grooming salon and a separate cat boarding area.
- 2001
The Noullet years
Chris and Cherie Noullet care for Longview from 2001 to 2019.
- 2019
Mike and Amanda Russo
In February 2019 the Noullets lovingly pass the business on to Mike and Amanda Russo, with big plans for renovations, staff training and other improvements.
The caretakers
Meet Mike and Amanda
Mike and Amanda Russo have run Longview Boarding and Grooming, L.L.C. since February 2019. Mike grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and Amanda in Shelby Township, Michigan. Both are engineers, with degrees from the University of Illinois Chicago and Michigan State University.
Amanda worked at Longview as a teenager, discovered her passion for pet care here, and came back more than a decade later. Mike and Amanda married in May 2018, have owned dogs and cats all their lives, and today share their home with two dogs: Ragnor, a pointer mix, and Aki, a chihuahua mix.

Longview is at 5403 Livernois Rd., Troy, MI 48098.
From I-75: take the Crooks Road exit (72) and turn right (north). Go over the bridge and turn right onto Square Lake Road (east). Follow Square Lake Road to Livernois Road and turn right (south). Longview is on the right-hand side, with a large lighted sign and reflecting triangles on the driveway.
