Dog Boarding
How much does dog boarding cost?
$40 per calendar day per dog, whatever the size, with discounts for 10+ day stays, 3 or more dogs, and military and veterinary families. See all rates.
Why is there one rate for all sizes?
Every dog has the same kind of indoor/outdoor run, so every dog pays the same.
What is the Buddy System?
For one-dog families, we pair your dog with another single dog of similar size, age and personality to share an indoor/outdoor run. It’s optional: dogs who prefer their own space are welcome.
How often do dogs go outside?
Every 2 hours, and in good weather dogs can go in and out as they please.
Is someone there at night?
The people who run Longview live on the property, and kennel staff are on site before, during and after office hours.
Can I book a private run?
Yes. Single boarding at the owner’s request is $60 per calendar day per dog.

Cat Boarding
How much is cat boarding?
$27 per calendar day per cat, or $25 a day for stays of 10+ days.
Where do the cats stay?
In a fully separate, quiet cat area away from the dogs, with a picture window. It’s cleaned, and every litter box changed, at least twice a day.
Do you have cat daycare?
Yes. Daycare is available for cats and dogs.

How much is daycare?
$25 per calendar day, with same-day drop-off and pick-up during office hours.
How do you group dogs at daycare?
By size, age and temperament, so they can play safely together.
When is grooming available?
Grooming is available 7 days a week, by appointment. Call (248) 879-0420 to book.
How much is grooming?
Prices depend on breed, size and coat condition. Call us or send a grooming request for a price.

Policies & Planning
Which vaccines are required?
Dogs: Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella and Canine Influenza. Cats: Rabies, FVRCP and Feline Leukemia (vaccine or a yearly negative test).
Is there a trial before boarding?
Yes, every new dog has a free 4-hour daycare trial first, Monday to Thursday with drop-off between 10am and 12pm.
What forms do I need?
A Check-In Form every visit and the Pet Agreement once, plus the Veterinary Treatment Authorization and, for diabetic pets, the Diabetic Form. Download the forms.
What should I bring?
Your pet’s food, medications in their original containers, and the forms. Cats with sensitivities: their usual litter.
How old must my dog be?
At least 10 months.

From I-75, take the Crooks Road exit (72) north, cross the bridge, turn right (east) on Square Lake Road, then right (south) on Livernois. We are on the right, with a large lighted sign and reflecting triangles on the driveway.
